Plusnet First UK ISP to publish Traffic Management Details
It has been reported that one of the leading internet service providers operating in the United Kingdom, Plusnet UK has become the first broadband provider in the United Kingdom to publish standard traffic management information.
Following the Broadband Stakeholder Group's (BSG) publishing the voluntary code last month, Plusnet UK has on its turn released the 'Key Facts Indicator on Traffic Management'.
The chief executive officer at Plusnet UK, Jamie Ford said that the internet service provider was totally behind the moves for standardising communication over traffic management.
Ford stated that traffic management was particularly important for th epeople consuming services of greater bandwidth, and they have extensively used that for ensuring their customers a reliable home service, which at the same time was cost effective.
Traffic management, according to a comment made by Ford was not just about managing cpacity during peak hours, but was also regarding experience. He added that all of their products offered a prioritised internet telephony (VoIP) service, due to which facilities such as FaceTime and Skype ran smoothly at home.
