Plusnet Customers to be migrated to New Network
One of the popular UK broadband and home phone providers operating in the United Kingdom, Plusnet has announced the conclusion of its fresh broadband network that comprises four host links of 10Gbps. Besides, a couple more of similar size is in the making.
Presently, the customers of the internet service provider are split between three separate platforms and would be eventually migrated to the fresh network.
The existing networks of Plusnet are; 21 CN for the FTTC and ADSL2+ customers that uses hostlinks of 1Gbps, the first 20 CN network of Plusnet for some customers of Madasafish that uses pipes of 155Mbps, and the second 20 CN network of Plusnet that serves everyone else that uses pipes of 622mBPS.
It has also been reported that the new network would be trialled by Plusnet according to its plans over the coming six months, by migrating a few customers to it.Once the pilot period comes to completion, all customers will be shifted to the new network.
The moving of the internet service provider's 21 CN customers is a comparatively simple process that would not accompany any problem. Nevertheless, a few customers, 20 CN users in particular, need their realm to be shifted too, which could in its turn cause a brief disconnection.
