Pocket changes can now be used for top-up

Wednesday, March 2nd 2011

Orange is the first mobile service provider to allow its customers to top up with pocket changes. The launch of Tiny Top Ups allows Orange Pay-As-You-Go customers to top up their mobile phones with loose changes that are as low as 10p. This new idea has been launched to encourage the younger generation to stay in touch easily using the few pennies in their pockets.

Orange has boasted this launch with a grand advertisement that runs for 30 seconds showing a 10p coin rolling and travelling through the city having lots of fun and adventure on the way. The coin ends up helping a young man to woo his loved one through a text message proving that the little 10p can help in making big and brilliant changes.

According to the Brand Director, Spencer Mchugh, this scheme has been launched to show its Pay-as-you-go customers that these loose changes can make big things and so saving them is important too. Orange is the first and only mobile network provider till date to launch the tiny top up service.
