Orange announces new daily EU roaming tariff

Saturday, July 16th 2011

Orange is initiating a fresh reduced rate European package for mobile broadband internet users on monthly basis while roaming. The cost is only GBP 3 per day for 30 MB data in Europe. This is apart from the existing roaming offers. ‘Pay monthly’ customers can now opt for the daily package in place of the monthly offer of GBP 15 for 30 MB, GBP 50 for 150 MB and GBP 150 for 500 MB. Continuous internet access is a boon, whether one is at home or on the move. Those who have to travel abroad for various reasons can be in contact with family back home thanks to the email facility. They can also upload their most recent photos on the Facebook. The new daily roaming package is being introduced in their interest. For the benefit of the ‘Pay monthly’ customers, the present monthly and monthly roaming bundles for the European Union have been revised. Liz Wynn of Orange UK stated that the latest price of GBP 3 per 30 MB data meant 10p per megabyte, which is well below the EU Commission’s proposed retail price caps to be introduced in July 2014.
