1 million customers drop for Orange
In the last quarter, Orange lost 23000 customers, which was against the efforts and actions done by the company to keep it steady. According to the broadband figures Orange broadband dropped from 1.023 million to just 1 million over the last three months of 2008.
This broadband internet service provider with its parent company France Telecom reports that it had an increase of 35 % in profits over the year and the customer drop out have slowed, but has not been able to increase its customer base. According to the reports Orange lost 40,000 customers in the third quarter of 2008, and 44,000 in the previous three months.
What is assuring is the rate of customers, at least 44 percent were now on its local loop unbundled (LLU) network, when compared to 30 % in 2007. That is, now more customers can actually benefit from the operator’s “free broadband” offer.
