Cheaper Satellite packages by Bigblue Broadband

Wednesday, January 23rd 2019

Bigblu Broadband, which operates satellite services in Europe & UK, has recently announced that they have revised 3 of their Satellite based broadband plans for their residential customers by reducing some amount on monthly prices and equipments cost in upfront charges.

Beyond this, the ISP claims that they offer unlimited usage on their Eutelsat Satellite broadband packages. Hence their satellite plans show a monthly priority data allowance caps that provides the maximum data cap for usage, however the customer can use the service still beyond the limit, but at slow speed at peak times alone and rest of the times at normal speed. Alongside, there is also an unmetered off peak usage period between 1 am to 6 am.

Even in the up-front charges also, the customers have to pay for the equipment included in each package as rent along with a 12 month contract. Hence the customers will have to pay £2.50 to £5 extra on their monthly charges as rental for the hardware/modem. And they have to pay still £49.99 as one-off activation charges and £49.99 towards cost of installation.

Konnect Bronze Unlimited
At an average download speed of 12 Mbps and upload speed of 3 Mbps at 10 GB as priority data allowance at a price of £24.99 a month (£27.49 including hardware rental) plus £99.98 upfront charges.

Konnect Silver Unlimited
At an average download speed of 21 Mbps and upload speed of 6 Mbps at 50 GB as priority data allowance at a price of £39.99 a month (£44.99 including hardware rental) plus £99.98 upfront charges.

Konnect Gold Unlimited
At an average download speed of 36 Mbps and upload speed of 6 Mbps at 100 GB as priority data allowance at a price of £69.99 a month (£74.99 including hardware rental) plus £99.98 upfront charges.

The thing is that how many customers will opt for satellite broadband is the question. However for rural network connections, satellite broadband is the best solution where there may not be fixed line facilities available. In Satellite broadband, a satellite dish will be installed at your home that gives two way access to broadband services.
