Results of mobile broadband trials announced
The Mobile broadband operator, Vodafone has topped the network test conducted by the Wireless company, the LCC International and was adjudged the most reliable and fastest mobile broadband provider in the UK. The test which was conducted during second quarter of this year has evaluated the performance of the product in terms of file download and the speed of loading website.
As for the average bandwidth, Vodafone provided 2.3 Mbps, while T-mobile and Three offered 1.1 Mbps and 1 Mbps respectively. Vodafone mobile broadband (1.2 Mbps) enabled the user to download 2MB (mega byte) file in 13.54 seconds. Next to Vodafone was T-Mobile with a speed of 993 Kbps or 16.15 seconds to download 2MB file. O2 Mobile broadband offered 812 Kbps speed on average or 20.17 seconds to download 2 MB file.
As for the speed of loading website, Vodafone topped the table with 6.7 seconds followed by O2 (7.45 seconds), T-Mobile (7.8 seconds), Three (12.67 seconds) and Orange (25.67).
