Smaller Business Firms Being Lured with Free Broadband by O2
O2, one of the telecommunication companies in the UK is anticipating luring the smaller business enterprises who register for their broadband and landline facilities before March end, by providing up to six months of accessibility to the Internet at no cost.
Named the “Flying Start”, this offer is applicable to business firms in the UK with up to 20,000 people working for them and gives their present customers three to six months of free rental on their landline and mobile broadband. The new entrants would be provided three months of free services.
In the UK where 80% of the business enterprises employ 10 -50 people, O2 feel that they could get a footing in with the small enterprises. As always there is downside with all attractive offers and in this offer the catch is that they will have to register for a two year contract to avail of the free internet access offer. In addition the users will also be charged for their calls. However looking at the present financial crisis, all businesses would do anything to lower their overheads.
Claire Darley, Head of Small Business Sales in O2 stated that by offering free Internet Accessibility to fixed land lines and broadband, they were expecting to aid the businesses in Britain and ensure that they could reduce expenses.
Those business customers who qualify and that have an O2 fixed land line can also make the best of the broadband offer said O2.
The company also said that they were assisting small business firms by providing their own business advisor to those who businesses that have more than ten employees and they can also make unrestricted calls to other O2 mobile from their mobile phones.
