O2 wins contract to deliver BSkyB’s corporate mobile business

O2, the leading broadband and mobile phone provider has won contract to deliver BSkyB’s corporate mobile business. Under the two year contract, the provider is required to offer mobile services to all Sky’s employees. Along with mobile services, the provider will offer expert advices and flexible high bandwidth data links.

Almost 10,000 connections extending over a range of devices like iPhone, iPad, and BlackBerry smartphone devices are covered under the contract. Besides, it also covers mobile broadband services.

O2 UK’s general manager, enterprise David Plumb said that he was delighted to partner with Sky as they are distinguished in the field. Firstly, O2 is required to provide a robust and reliable mobile communications system for the company so that their entire workforce can stay connected with each other effectively. From Engineers to foreign correspondents of Sky, everyone will be connected better.

David Plumb said that O2’s ability to deliver resilient high bandwidth data links for 2,500 mobile workforce and their expertise in offering high levels of network coverage, along with their strong commitment will prove very useful to Sky. With their high-class service from O2, sky will be able to achieve commercial, cost and innovation benefits.
