To the joy of the UK people on the move, O2 is providing free Wi-Fi in selected places including Exhibition Road, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square etc to enable them to watch London Olympics.

Interestingly, the facility is available even to those who are not O2 customers. The scheme ensures free internet to all.

The only thing that the user has to do is to register just once. There is no need to pay for the 3G service either.

This will be heartening especially for the tourists or sports enthusiasts from abroad as they do not have to pay the exorbitant roaming charges.

It is not known as to how long the facility will last. It may be discontinued after the Olympics. However, it will be there until the end of the Olympics. That much is certain.

Borris Johnson, the Mayor of London is determined to ensure that the tourists coming from all parts of the world are warmly treated in London such that they carry back with them pleasant memories of London and its people. The free availability of Wi-Fi in important locations in the city will be of great use to them and it will help in marinating the glory and reputation of the number 2 city in the world.
