O2 mobile broadband launch Sierra Wireless modem

The UK broadband provider, O2 and Sierra Wireless have introduced Compass 885 USB Modem for O2 mobile broadband customers.

The new modem comes with microSD memory card slot and offers quad-band GSM/EDGE support and UMTS/HSPA support. This USB modem has compatibility with both Macs and PCs, according to the report.

The new modem is suited to high speed mobile networks that can offer download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and upload speeds of up to 2Mbps.

Jim Lahey of Sierra Wireless said:

"The Compass 885 USB modem is designed to satisfy the pace and needs of busy mobile professionals.
"It offers ease of use, worldwide high-speed roaming for simple, reliable connectivity while travelling, with a small, minimalist design."

O2 broadband customers can buy Compass 805 USB modem online. The high speed and wireless features of the new modem will make it ideal for potential mobile broadband customers like travelers, professionals etc.
