O2 launches 4G pay-as-you-go deals

Friday, November 1st 2013

O2 customers can now use the providers’s superfast 4G network with their pay as you go handsets instead of contract smartphones without entering in to a monthly contract, it was announced recently. O2 has also confirmed that 4G plans for tablet and laptop users will be announced in the month of November.

The announcement comes just one day short of EE’s launch of similar service providing UK mobile users to choose between two providers rather than just one. The cost of EE’s superfast mobile broadband has been restructured after the launch of its 4G pay as you go option. O2 provides mobile broadband service to eleven cities such as Bradford, Birmingham, Coventry, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Leeds, Leicester, Sheffield, Manchester and Nottingham.

O2's 4G pay as you go pack comes with 'Pay&Go Go Go' price plan that will offer 500 texts, 75 minutes talk time and 500 MB of data costing £15 per month. After 3 months it will be doubled to 1000 texts, 150 minutes' talk time and 1GB of data for the same price. Then again after six months, the SMS will be made unlimited. 19 smartphones can support O2's 4G pay-as-you-go service.
