O2 is the first to switch to superfast 900 MHZ Network

O2 becomes the first mobile service provider to switch to superfast 900 MHZ Network. This development will benefit the users with 50% increase in network coverage and an increase of 30% download speeds and an additional 3G900 network that will offer superior browsing experience in tablet and smartphone browsing experience.
The 2G network customers previously enjoyed the 900 MHZ speed and this license has now been granted to O2 for its 3G services also. O2 has already offered these services to major cities in the UK – Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds and other cities will be offered the same in the upcoming months.
Other network providers are expected to offer the same service in the future following the successful venture of O2. On the whole customers of O2 are the first to benefit this superfast speed and other benefits.
