Friday, October 7th 2011

The free public Wi-Fi service offered by ‘O2’ has been extended.

The broadband provider wants to extend the coverage of wireless broadband hotspot network launched by it in January this year.

Ben Mein is in charge of Commercial Delivery of the project, which ensures online service for subscribers of certain new locations.

Apart from the O2 customers, the customers of other broadband providers can also avail the services.

Mr. Mein is of the opinion that by 2013, the Wi-Fi platform should have twice the number hotspots presently offered by BT Openzone and The Cloud. He also said that the firm would concentrate in establishing its service in other parts of the UK during the following years.
