To help organizations and businesses to put into practice the varying flexible working practices efficiently, O2 has launched a new service knows as “Joined Up People” on the 17th of November 2011.

This new service consists of O2’s complete range of products like mobile, fixed-line and broadband, devices and hardware along with consultancy and MDM. (Mobile device management) JUP is planned to provide the organizations with professional and technical services as well as training.

JUP wants changes in the working practices and it wants to introduce innovative methods of working in order to support customers. The operator says that if the businesses implement the right applications, tools and services along with a good security set up, people can be kept happy which in turn will increase their productivity inside an organization.

O2 launched this new service to face the reality that the percentage of people working more flexibly would reach 35% by 2013. People want their work to be flexible. More and more people prefer to use their own devices. Thanks to the improvement in consumer technology by 2013 about 25% of the workforce would be using their own devices. The new service will provide consultancy packages suitable for businesses of all sizes to implement effective flexible working practices in the most successful and efficient manner.

According to the research conducted by O2, it has come to light that 41% of office workers, due to financial stress, are reluctant to attend office. This economic condition prevailing in the society is considerably reducing the flexibility of working practices. The research also found that around 27% of workers are denied of working flexibility by their line managers.

Mr. David Plumb, the General Manager of O2, on the eve of the launch said that more and more employees want to use their own devices. He opined that it would be a challenge to businesses to allow employees to use their own devices but if a right device is implemented it would increase productivity, reduce cost and pave the way for innovations. All the more it would make the employees happy. To help transform businesses, Joined Up People offers unique combination of consultancy and technical expertise. For businesses to achieve a true effective flexible working practice, JUP is ready to extend its services.

Under the banner ‘Joined Up Business,’ the services available are in the field of consultancy, Security and mobile device management from Asavie, Cloud-based tool from Fiberlink, Mobile and fixed device management from Zenprise, Transformation fund, Technical and professional services coupled with O2 portfolio devices, mobile, fixed-line and broadband and hardware.
