Increase in the O2 broadband subscribers
The release of quarterly results of O2 was indeed a hit to the telecom company. With the increase of the O2 customers they have reached the financial targets of 2008. The credit for the rise of the customers from 267,090 in Q3 to 340,866 in Q4 of O2 goes to the broadband. The split between fixed line broadband and mobile broadband customers is one thing which the company didn’t share.
According to the records, an increase in the growth was marked with +73,776 added in Q4 opposed to the +72,870 added in Q3-2008. In front of the giant BT and Virgin media, O2, a small business has proved itself. As far as the quality is considered, O2 have received a positive press in the past year. Before the Q4 results O2 has proved its success in the J.D. Power and Associates 2008 Fixed Broadband ISP Customer Satisfaction Study, there it received the highest numerical score among fixed broadband service providers.
This year O2 is said to channel all it resources to increase the broadband capacity all over the UK. On top of it actions are taken to re-brand its sister business Be Broadband.
