Half Price Dongle Offer of O2 ends

Wednesday, December 23rd 2009

O2, one of the five prominent mobile broadband providers operating in the United Kingdom, and arguably the biggest of the lot, has confirmed the conclusion of the half-price mobile broadband dongle offer of the UK ISP.

As a matter of fact, the mobile broadband aspirers and fans had time until the end of December 22 to access the enticing offer by signing up for a major mobile broadband dongle contract package of O2.

This deal was a utility one as the broadband provider was offering its pre-pay mobile broadband USB dongle for a price of just GBP 14.67. This according to the company was something that made it a perfect stocking for those who did not want to be tied down to a deal of long term.

The pay and go broadband service availed the customers monthly, weekly and daily offerings with 24 hours broadband internet access costing GBP 2. Alongside, the service also came with a usage allowance of 500MB and unlimited wireless broadband (WiFi) usage.

Apart from these, the customers that were willing to pay from GBP 7.50 were availed weekly deals and those willing to pay GBP 15 could get monthly service. However, after Dec 22, the O2 mobile broadband dongle price has risen to GBP 29.35.

O2 had earlier in the month confirmed its teaming up with Huawei to pilot services based on the Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology in Slough. The technology boasts of being capable of providing download speeds of up to 150 Mbps.
