Nokia will Venture into Broadband Laptop Market
Nokia, a leading mobile manufacturing company in the world has announced its plans to enter into the broadband laptop market. The Finnish mobile phone giant has announced its maiden netbook, Nokia Booklet 3G Netbook that is fortified by 3G technology for fast data downloads. The executive vice president for devices at Nokia, Kai Oistamo said that the Nokia Booklet 3G laptop was a natural evolution. He added that Nokia would be creating something pretty compelling, since it had a long and rich tradition in mobility, premium design, exceptional battery life and reliable connectivity. Nokia is expected to reveal further details such as which internet service provider in the UK will be offering their new Booklet 3G, in September. Incidentally, Virgin Media had become the first broadband supplier in the United Kingdom to launch its own netbook earlier this year. This laptop was named by the company – Virgin Media Freedom Laptop. It is also expected that with Virgin Media showing the way, many internet service providers in the country will be following suit. The Nokia Booklet 3G comes with a high-definition display screen, which measures 10 inch in diagonal size. The connectivity options offered by thie netbook from the mobile phones leader are 3G (UMTS)/HSPA and WiFi. The twelve hour battery life offered by the netbook is quite remarkable too, as it can support lengthy downloads as well as the viewing or enjoying of the downloaded content.
