Mobile broadband – yet to pick up in Britain

Friday, June 10th 2011

Unlike people of USA and other advanced countries, the British cannot dream of fast mobile internet connectivity. It is to be noted that the authorities in the UK are shirking responsibilities in the matter. Whereas 4G mobile broadband with 10 Mbps of speed is common in USA and most parts of Europe, a speed of even 1 Mbps is rare in the UK. Surprisingly, the service providers in other parts of Europe are the same as those in the UK. An example is Telefonica, the owner of O2 and T-Mobile. It is indeed pathetic to read reports that throw light as to how far behind the communication system in the UK are as compared to other parts of the continent. All those who want to make online purchase through the handset should take a note of this factor.
