Mobile advertising to increase twofold by 2011
According to the latest reports, mobile broadband advertising will increase twofold by 2011. Western Europe and North America will witness a drastic growth in mobile advertising. By 2015, advertising budgets of Western Europe will represent 25 per cent of the global market. Asia/Pacific and Japan will continue to the take the lead during this period. Brands, advertisers and publishers use the mobile advertising as an opportunity to engage consumers and thereby improving returns, suggests research director at Gartner, Stephanie Baghdassarian. By 2015, the mobile advertising will be four per cent of total marketing budgets, an increase from its current share of 0.5 per cent. Increase in the adoption of smartphones and media tablets will result in the increase of mobile advertising. There will be a growth in the Mobile advertising budgets spent by brands and advertisers.
