Facebook to try and restore trust with new privacy features
Facebook, the social networking site has announced to make advance changes to the privacy settings as an initiate to ease upheaval over the flaws of the site and regenerate trust in its users.
Admitting fully that it has made mistakes and rendered a faulty privacy in the past, as it soughted to promote the features of social networking. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook when communicating with Washington Post said that Facebook desires to introduce new, easier to use privacy settings.
He explained that “ Facebook has seen a very fast development and popularity”. It is a challenge to keep millions of people satisfied over time, hence we quickly move to serve that community with modern means to connect with social web and each other. He also stated that, in the coming week, they will be adding privacy settings for much simpler operations to use. They are also about to offer an option to cut off all the third party services and striving very hard to make these modification at the earliest.
Facebook called for a general meeting, a couple of weeks ago to its staff to talk over the recent privacy criticism. In which was exposed a security flaw that permitted user to invade on live chat of friends as well as view pending request of friends. The reason behind these security hiccups is Facebook's own privacy features.
