Zen slashed prices of broadband prices

Thursday, February 28th 2019

One of the ISPs in the UK, based at Rochdale, Zen Internet has announced that they have reduced their broadband packages of ADSL and FTTC based broadband & phone bundles.
The ISP has given the benefit of free setup / installation charges on taking up the 12 month broadband plans which was earlier charged £55 as one time charges on FTTC packages. At the same time, their 66 Mbps speed Unlimited Fibre 2 package has seen a slash from £43.99 to £38.99.

This shows that the ISP has made these changes to drive its customers on slower packages to upgrade to next level packages and they are trying to use the benefit of Openreach’s new volume discount scheme. However it is good for the customers as they get cheaper packages than other ISPs.

The customers will expect to get a wireless router (FRITZ!Box), unlimited usage, phone line rental included, Static IP address, UK customer support and 12 month contract term. They can also take up broadband only which leads to a price reduction of £10 on monthly price).

Their Packages are:

Unlimited Broadband
With download speed of 10 Mbps and upload speed of 1 Mbps at a price of £28 a month and which is at £32 on 1 month term.

Unlimited Fibre 1
With download speed of 35 Mbps and upload speed of 6 Mbps at a price of £37.

Unlimited Fibre 2
With download speed of 66 Mbps and upload speed of 17 Mbps at a price of £38.99.

Unlimited Fibre 3
With download speed of 145 Mbps and upload speed of 30 Mbps at a price of £52 plus £55 as set up charges.

Unlimited Fibre 4
With download speed of 300 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps at a price of £59.99 plus £55 as set up charges.

Out of the above packages, Fibre 3 and 4 packages are based on G.fast or FTTP based packages.
