Zen Internet launches G.Fast based home broadband service
One of the UK ISPs Zen Internet has recently announced that they have launched their new range of G.fast (hybrid fibre) technology based residential ultrafast broadband packages with download speeds of 145 Mbps and 300 Mbps. Zen also offers their full fibre FTTP products with the like prices.
Openreach's new G.fast based technology works like existing 80 Mbps FTTC/VDSL2 service. In G.fast, the fibre optic will run till local PCP street cabinet and then connected with an extension pod and from there G.fast line cards will be connected to homes via existing copper cables. Only some of the providers have launched this service, as the technology is only available to 1.1 million+ premises at present.
The new packages will include unlimited usage, free router (AVM FRITZ Box 3490), static IP address, contract term of 12 months, UK based support, phone line rental and one time activation fee of £55. The ISP also agrees for fixed prices for the entire contract term.

With an average download speed of 145 Mbps and upload speed of 30Mbps at a price of £52 a month (£42 excluding line rental).
Unlimited Fibre 4
With an average download speed of 300 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps at a price of £59.99 a month (£49.99 excluding line rental).
