Wispa Discredits Broadband Speeds Provided in Wales

Tuesday, July 5th 2011

Broadband speeds that are being supplied by providers in Wales have been condemned by Wispa Limited on the basis that there are residents in Wales who still cannot access nominal speeds. They claim that the standard broadband speed across the UK is 6.2 Mbps, while the regular speed in developing areas is 40Mbps. This only goes to show that the ambitions that Wales’ residents will be provided 2Mbps connectivity does not hold water said Wispa. Richard Brown, COO of Wispa limited stated that the resident and business in Wales ought to have a better deal and that they should prevent this scramble of business houses to England just for the fact that they are unable to avail of at least the basic broadband connectivity. He elucidated that the companies like BT are holding back the internet services in the country when compared to other countries across the globe. However, in spite of these remarks made by Mr. Brown, the people living in Brighton are all ready to reap the benefits of the work put in by BT who has set schemes that will ensure that an extra 34,000places in Brighton will gain access to the super-fast broadband connectivity provided by them.
