UK to see OnLive Launch this Autumn

Video game streaming service is reportedly gearing up finally for a launch in the United Kingdom, as registration opens with E3 service starting next week. The company has confirmed that the OnLive game streming service would be launching in the country this autumn.

The registration for the gaming service based on cloud platform will be going live with the opening of E3 on 7 June next week at 8 pm. It will going online on Onlive UK website.

In the United Kingdom, BT is enjoying currently exclusive rights for bundling the OnLive Gaming Service with its broadband internet offerings after making investments into the firm last year. The servce has already been trialled on the customers by BT.

The company said to website MCV UK that they were building dedicated data services in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, OnLive plans to set up its offices in the United Kingdom as well.

Meanwhile, despite the company having said that it could not name the real partners yet, also going on sale in the United Kingdom is the dedicated Micro Console of OnLive. This was launched in the United States last year by OnLive.

Steve Perlman, the founder and chief executive officer at OnLive said that the service would be hitting the shores of the United Kingdom with a more widely expanded offering compared to that launched in the United States a year back.
