UK Ranked 33rd For Global Broadband Speed

Ookla, a broadband UK speed test diagnostic company recently outed their results for global broadband speed. The average speed was calculated to be 7.67Mbps. In the tests conducted, UK has been ranked 33rd, with an average speed of 7.69Mbps, which is just above the global average.

South Korea ranks number one for fastest broadband. The average calculated was 34.19Mbps. Latvia stood second with an average speed of 24.3Mbps. The third place was taken by Moldova, with Japan and Sweden securing the fourth and fifth positions respectively. The US managed to stand 26th in the ranking.

Top Broadband speed locations within each country were also noted by Ookla. Seoul has been named the world's fastest broadband city. In the UK, cities like Loughton, Dartford, Welling, Troon and Clitheroe have featured way above London.
