UK broadband users percent has risen
European commission has revealed new figures saying that there is rise in the number of UK broadband users. According to a research conducted, the growing population in UK are adopting to broadband bundles.
According to a study conducted by the European Commission, the growth percentage of broadband penetration between January 2009 and the beginning of 2010 is 1.4percentage. And this has touched the mark of 29.8 percentage. This figure was more than the European Union average percentage of 24.8 in spite of the growth rate being less than the average of two percentage.
The report also stated that with the merger between TalkTalk and Tiscali, 2009 was a year of consolidation in the UK, which means that each of the three fixed broadband providers have a market share of more than 20 percent.
A research conducted by Point Topic said that over the next few years, UK will soon find a rise in the use of fibre optic broadband services. The research study also advised that this growth would be same as that of the BT's DSL services in the mid 2000s.
