Tories-Fibre Optic Broadband Plans welcomed by CLA

The rural promotion body of the United Kingdom, the Country Land and Business Association has welcomed the plans of the Conservative party to launch fibre optic broadband internet service of 100Mbps connection speed across the country, with caution.

According to the announcement made last day by the Conservative party of the United Kingdom on their plans to introduce superfast fibre optic broadband internet service across the country, the service rollout would be reaching the majority of the country's population by 2017.

It is also interesting that the president of the CLA, William Worsely although has said that he agreed with the sentiment of Tories behind the plans, also took pain to warn that there was still work to be accomplished to make sure that they could become a reality.

He also did not refrain from explaining that to offer such advanced broadband services across the United Kingdom, the broadband industry of the country currently lacked adequate fundamental network.

Worsely added that the country firstly required to get the basics right to provide the population with a broadband internet connection suitable for 20 per cent of the country's rural areas that presently lagged behind with inadequate or no access at all. He concluded that this was the priority that required immediate investment.
