The Prime Minister Declares That He believes That Broadband Is The Answer to UK’s Economic Growth

The government’s strategies for high speed broadband are what the Prime Minister David Cameron has put all his hope in for enhancing and changing the country’s infrastructure. He believes that this venture would help to get the UK economy back on track. His message at New Year is one in which he accepted the fact that there had to be a lot of changes if the economy of the country was to get back on rail with opportunities for growth. The broadband provision plans that were supported by the government, new houses that were being constructed in the country and also the enhancement of roads and railways all helped to add to the attainment of this objective. Mr. Cameron stated that this would be the year that the country would see the world and vice versa. He stressed that this should be the year that they should attempt to ensure that their coalition government that he was heading did whatever it took for them to strengthen the country further. He said that he deeply believed that they could make things happen if they tried. The alliance government has been vociferous in supporting their objective to get Britain linked to the most excellent high speed broadband network in the whole of Europe by end 2015. However they have not identified the precise goal. Their idea is to provide all homes and business firms in the UK accessibility to high speed broadband as well as phone deals. In order to accomplish this target the government has put aside a grant of 530 million pounds to aid the setting up of better broadband facilities in regions in the country where private telecommunications firms refuse to provide broadband saying that these places were not worth their while economically. The countryside coalition pointed fingers at the government’s broadband strategies in December, showing that in spite of fact that four rural regions had been selected for pilot ventures for super-fast broadband programmes, till the end of 2011 nothing had in fact been done to get the new network going. It was only of late that the Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt set a time limit for the local offices to put in their applications for the grants so that the work would get started.
