Slow Broadband Speeds in Inverness Irks MP
A research carried out by pro-broadband website, Top Ten Broadband has revealed the fact that Inverness was found to be the slowest of any Scottish city in terms of broadband internet speeds. The revelation, in its turn, has angered the Member of Parliament for Inverness who expressed his concern by flaying the system. As a matter of fact, the Member of Parliament for Inverness, Strathspey, Badenoch and Nairn, Danny Alexander expressed his concerns saying that the 2.52 Mbps average internet access speeds ascribed to the region was a disgrace. Alexander is a Liberal Democrat MP. Alexander further commented that the complaints made by the residents as well as the businesses of the locality over the slowness of broadband internet speeds in Inverness, have been reinforced by the research report published by the comparison website. He also added that the fact that the highland capital lagging far behind other cities in Scotland was simply a disgrace. The research conducted by Top Ten Broadband found out that the fastest Scottish city regarding broadband speeds was Edinburgh, which also fared at the fourteenth place in the list of all cities in the United Kingdom. Incidentally, Bournemouth was found to be the fastest city in the UK with an average broadband speed of 8.06Mbps.
