Service providers need to invest more to tackle network congestion
With the increased adoption of smart phones, providers are finding hard to cater the bandwidth needs of the customers. There is a imbalance in the distribution of broadband internet connection and this needs to be looked into. According to a recent report conducted by Arieso, a service advising company in England 90 percent of congestion is created by 10 percent users. This means, most of the available bandwidth are used by the one percent users.
Arieso is offering advices to mobile phone service providers the United States of America, Europe and Africa. In the future, this issue will get worse. Among the users who consume most of the Bandwidth include laptop, smart phone and iPad users. 64 percent are laptop users, while one third are smartphones users and 3 percent are iPad users. The numbers of smart phone users who consume more bandwidth are there in developed nations like European countries, US and Japan. Developed nations make use of new generation data transfer modules, while developing nations rely on 2G networks.
Since most of the providers are giving away smart phones at low prices, the mobile phones are increasing in numbers, resulting in the congestion of mobile bandwidth. To tackle this problem, mobile providers are asked to invest more on their network
