Scheme for high-speed broadband in South Yorkshire saved from termination

Proposal to launch high-speed broadband connections in South Yorkshire escapes cutbacks, claims Yorkshire Forward, the regeneration body.

Yorkshire Forward had been looking to finance the pioneering Digital Region Project with its £3.2 million grant. Representative claim that this, fortunately does not form part of the 19% reductions proposed by quango in 2010.
