Outstanding FTTH Contribution Award won by CEO of Hyperoptic

FTTH Conference 2019 has been running from March 12 to March 14, 2019 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands organized by Fibre to the Home Council Europe. It is the biggest meeting place for the world broadband stakeholders with the participation of 3000 members across 94 countries where they can meet 120 exhibitors. The three days of conference has various exhibitions, workshops and conference sessions which will provide exclusive information and FTTH related topics.

As a part of the conference, FTTH Award 2019 Ceremony happened yesterday. And the CEO and Co-founder of ISP Hyperoptic – Dana Tobak has received the “Outstanding Contribution Award” for her contribution to the fast developing of FTTH broadband network in Europe. Since 2011, the urban focused ISP has been engaged in execution of the work to bring 1Gbps based FTTB / FTTP broadband network connections to office buildings and large urban apartments. They were one of the largest providers of full fibre based network services in the UK.

At present, the ISP’s network is having coverage of 5 Lakh+ premises in around 39 cities and towns in the UK. They have also put their effort to find an investment of £500m to reach 2 million premises by the year 2021 and aspire to reach 5 million by 2024.

President of the FTTH Council Europe - Ronan Kelly said that the network of Hyperoptic is getting increased at a rapid speed. The ISP has been working towards the growth of reaching 100% coverage for the past 3 years and to acknowledge the efforts of the provider, the FTTH Council Europe intended to recognize the Dana’s marvelous work in making more accessibility with FTTH.

CTIO of Hyperoptic - Pascal Koster said that it is a great recognition for Dana by the industry. As one of the co-founders of Hyperoptic, she formed Hyperoptic with the aim to bring a shake up in the broadband sector of UK with the full fibre offering which was neglected earlier at the times. The ISP is engaged in delivering on this vision along with her team and looking forward to continue working towards delivering full fibre networks along with their partners for the needs of the UK.
