New Cyber Security Centre Hosted by Belfast
The new broadband internet security centre that comes dubbed as CSIT (the Centre for Secure Information Technologies) calls for a budget of GBP 3 million to establish at Queen's University. The most exciting part here is that the centre is expected to create eighty fresh jobs. The centre vividly reflects the fact that a great majority of businesses in the country rely on broadband UK internet to operate. The engagement of such a centre has been widely perceived as a positive move for the reason that this could enhance broadband internet security throughout Britain, which in its turn would encourage more consumers to engage in applications such as VoIP with less concern about potential breaches of security. The Queen's University vice-chancellor, Professor Peter Gregson commented on the development that around 97 per cent of the UK businesses that relied on IT systems including internet, acknowledged being concerned of cyber security that is nothing less than a global issue. He added that all businesses in the country working in this segment could rely on it a significant reference point.
A fresh centre to effectively deal with cyber-related crimes across the United Kingdom has been opened in Belfast. This centre also stands to ensure the security of the electronically stored data by businesses and homes.
