Recent efforts of the provider have offered faster broadband to 69,500 more Scottish properties. With this addition, 14 more communities can benefit from the super fast broadband service of BT. Properties across Scotland can access broadband speeds up to 20Mbps. In the coming months, company will upgrade the service to another 59 exchanges. A total of 1.5 million properties will be connected with super fast broadband connection by summer.

Faster broadband service will help home workers and internet users to access online services effectively and create a competitive environment. By the end of 2012, 277,000 properties across 34 Scottish exchanges will benefit from super-fast broadband rollout, the company had announced last month. Six in Glasgow, seven in Edinburgh and two in Dundee, along with Four Aberdeen exchanges will be included.
