More elderly people expected to be glued to the internet service
It has been reliably learnt that the retired people or those above the age of sixty are very comfortable with the internet and that they enjoy surfing and spending considerable time with the net.
Nick Thompson, the Director of Consumer Services at KC remarked that during the year of 2011 internet usage by the elderly people was on the rise. In fact, they spend hours together on the net for various purposes.
It is generally believed that the older people are in two minds with respect to adopting the latest internet technologies and devices concerning super fast broadband, but it does not prevent them from accessing the net, which they seem to enjoy, so says Thompson.
The older people have found that it is the best and most convenient way to deal in bank transactions without having the trouble to visit the crowded bank and waste time there.
The same thing applies while doing reservation for travels. They can also read the latest online news at their convenience.
They can do online shopping after patiently going through the list of the products of various manufacturers and comparing the prices. Thus they are saved from the trouble of wasting time in the market and struggling there.
They can also watch useful data hungry programs like Skype.
Thompson is of the belief that there will be considerable increase in the number of older people using the internet.
