According to reports thousands of homes and business firms in both Cornwall and the Isles of Sicily are being connected to the high-speed broadband facilities.

Terispen, Porthtowan, Drakewalls, Lanivet and Penryn are the five new communities that will be hooked up to the fibre broadband networks in the newest phase of the 132 million pounds venture.

The venture is beginning to gradually enhance accessibility to web services in the county of Cornwall and the islands. The goal of this scheme is to target at least 90% broadband accessibility by the end of the year 2014.

The Programme Director of Super-fast Cornwall for Cornwall Development company, Mr. Nigel Ashcroft stated that he was highly thrilled about providing enhanced broadband facilities particularly to Trispen.

According to Mr. Ashcroft, as the initial main stage of the venture began to gain impetus, they were overjoyed by the gusto and the fervour of the residents of the region.

He said that the requirement and demand for faster and better connections were high and they were looking forward to surpassing a couple of records on the subscription of this hard to believe novel service.

He also encouraged both residents and business houses to make the best of this benefit and transform it into something that would not only be economically beneficial, but would also create more jobs and opportunity for the people of the locality.
