Market Deeping Now offers High Speed Broadband

High speed broadband has been made available to the first houses and business enterprises in Market Deeping.

Since the fibre optic cable upgrades had been completed by the BT engineers of their Openreach division, approximately 6,000 companies and business houses have obtained the advantage of accessing high speed broadband connectivity. In addition this upgrade has the capacity to increase the download speeds two fold.

BT’s plans are to ensure that high speed broadband connections can be accessed by at least two thirds of the homes and business enterprises in the UK in another two years, meaning by 2014.

The Regional partnership Director for BT in East Midlands, Mr. Paul Bimson stated that the entrance of super-fast broadband in these regions could turn out to be a great encouragement for businesses and homes locally. He said that the financial status being what it is today, high speed broadband could completely alter the practical use of the Internet.

There has already been increase in download speeds in Stamford and they are also installing new street cabinets in Bourne in 2012 to increase speeds to 48,000 households and commercial firms.

By the coming year it is believed that the Internet speeds would be enhanced in Rutland. Last September, the Rutland County was selected to avail money from the government to do trial run for non-metropolitan Internet venture.
