Launch of G.fast based packages by iDNET & revision in FTTP packages

Herts based ISP iDNET has also started offering new hybrid fibre of Openreach's G.fast based broadband packages and offers maximum download speed of upto 160 Mbps/ 330 Mbps. Many of the service providers such as EE, BT, Zen Internet, TalkTalk etc now iDNET started providing their G.fast based packages.

As of now, Openreach has completed deployment of G.fast network to cover around 1.1m premises and planning to reach 5.7m by the year 2020. G.fast works like a FTTC service where the fibre runs from the exchange to a local street cabinet and then fixed with extension pod. From there it will be running through the G.fast line cards to reach the premises via copper cables.

Beyond this, the ISP iDNET has also revised their FTTP based ultrafast broadband packages. The following are the packages.

G.fast Packages

Fibre Unlimited 160/30
With a download speed of 160 Mbps and upload speed of 30 Mbps at a Price of £49.80 a month (£42 without line rental).

Fibre Unlimited 330/50
With a download speed of 330 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps at a Price of £67.80 a month (£60 without line rental)

FTTP Packages:

Fibre Unlimited 160/30
With a download speed of 160 Mbps and upload speed of 30 Mbps at a Price of £51.60 per month.

Fibre Unlimited 330/50
With a download speed of 330 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps at a Price of £120.00 per month.

The above packages will include unlimited usage, line rental (except on FTTP), 1 static IPv4 & a /48 block of IPv6 addresses with a contract term of 12 month. One time installation charges of £85 for G.fast based service and £50 for FTTP service are applicable. You should get a router additionally at your cost (Openreach modem will come along with G.fast services). While looking at their monthly prices, iDNET is the provider of low price G.fast service. Whereas if we take installation charge, it is more expensive than other rivals.
