KC launches 350 Mbps broadband
KC, the ISP based at Hull has introduced ‘KC Lightstream 350’, which is acclaimed as the fastest broadband service in the UK capable of giving a download speed of 350 Mbps. The Fiber to the Premises (FTTP) service will be available at GBP 99 per month without connection fee. The line rental may cost another GBP 13 a month.
It may look a bit costly, but the speed available is 50 times the average speed of 7.6 Mbps currently available in the UK. The user can feel rest assured that he will get what he pays for.
A 5GB HD movie can be downloaded within two minutes. A standard BBC iPlayer programme can be downloaded in fraction of a minute.
There is no limit on download. It assumed that even 600 GB download available with KC’s 100 Mbps service will be surpassed.
KC’s website has not given any product page yet concerning the new service.
More than 15,000 households in Hull will be making use of the Lightstream 350 service of the service provider during the current year.
About 7,500 homes are already availing the facility of next generation fiber service in Hull.
The recently introduced KC Connect Smart TV service in combination with KC Lightstream 350 can provide wonderful entertainment for the users.
As per the latest information, Lightstream 350 has a usage cap of 750 GB
