High Speed Broadband of up to 20Mbps Download Speed for Filey At Last

This was announced by BT in 2011 September and the facilities were started just on Tuesday. The people living in Filey had, since many months, been asking for the roll out of high broadband services.

BT’s high speed agenda would facilitate the users to download data at speeds of 20Mbps and this is double the speed that they had been availing from their providers earlier. They were able to avail of only a third of the speed that had been stated. Nevertheless Filey is now one of the 20 other regions in the North Yorkshire to be able to access high speed broadband.

In the course of the week the network of seven villages and cities inclusive of Filey had been upgraded to enable super-fast accessibility. As of now 39,000 business firms and residential homes have been allowed to access super-fast broadband across the North Yorkshire area.
