HellermannTyton deal with Cityfibre to supply for FTTP rollout

One of the urban focused network builders - Cityfibre has entered into and signed a deal with HellermannTyton for supply of digital infrastructure to them which will help in supporting their network rollout worth £2.5bn of FTTH broadband network to reach 5m premises in the UK by 2024.


 


The strategic supply agreement is in continuation to their similar agreements with Emtelle and Hexatronic recently. On the new deal, HellermannTyton supply street cabinets, aerial fibre nodes and underground fibre closures for their deployments.


 


The supplier is manufacturing components and doing product assembly based at the UK. The deal is an extension deal as HellermannTyton has supplied network components to the network builder for many years.


 


MD of HellermannTyton - Matthew Hunter said that this is a wonderful time in the UK for full fibre deployment. They are contributing to the deployment of Cityfibre which offer various benefits to both companies and it creates a big statement for UK manufacturing. The new deal is a proof for their long standing relationship to become more strong in future also. It shows the quality of UK manufacturing to satisfy the customer needs.


 


Cityfibre’s Director of Operations - John Franklin said that as they aspire to reach at least 20% of UK market with their fibre deployment, they seek for strategic partners with more reliability, high quality and innovation. HellermannTyton, which has been already working with them and who can provide the best of their solutions, support and expertise required by them in building future proof infrastructure.
