Forty Million Pound Fibre Broadband Plan Mooted by Plymouth
It has been revealed that in the near future business firms in Plymouth would be enjoying a new GBP 40 million next generation superfast fibre optic broadband network. It is understood that H2O Networks, a Merseyside based firm is trying to strike an agreement with City Council of Plymouth on the installation of the fibre broadband technology across the area. To go ahead with the plans it seeks the evidence of demand. The Chamber of Commerce, Plymouth has supported the plan s and called on its major business bodies to back the plans. This was done at an event that was held over the previous weekend. The organisation's chief executive David Parlby said that high speed cables were running close to the town, hence representing a perfect way for businesses to get connected. Parlby added that they required the new service to engender growth and if they failed to realise it, this could mean that the local strategy for economy would never happen. Meanwhile, the renowned research agency Point Topic had recently published certain figures that suggested projects created to boost the next generation superfast broadband UK internet availability might hardly meet the overall demand for a technology of that sort.
