UK's major mobile operator EE has introduced for people in Wales, a Welsh language customer support service. EE is also pushing its network coverage area on 4G to reach, from 40% of Wakes at beginning of 2016, to 90% coverage towards the end of this year. Simultaneously, 95% overall coverage of UK is expected to be also reached.

A dedicated Welsh- speaking customer service team will respond to a TEXT message sent, or a request sent online through their website, for a call back. Welsh-speaking staff members will have the Welsh flag added on their new badge for customers to identify them when in a store. EE will be installing bilingual signage, in both Welsh and English, wherever needed.

The CEO of EE, Marc Allera, said they have wanted to boost 4G coverage across the country, to provide customers here best coverage and customer service. They are proud to be the first mobile operator to give the Welsh speaking option to customers across Wales, when visiting a retail store or requesting a call back, from their special team in Merthyr Tydfil, the CEO added.
