Devon and Somerset county residents must submit their papers by 29th of the month
Devon and Somerset County Councils have started a campaign to persuade the residents and businesses to sign up for faster broadband. Local authorities have already contributed GBP 50 Million for the broadband initiative. It must be proved that there is high demand for the fast connectivity, to get more funds for the objective. Torridge District Council and North Devon Council are also supporting the campaign. The members of the public have to fill up a small questionnaire. Brian Greenslade of North Devon Council requested the residents to participate in the survey and not to miss the opportunity in conveying their broadband needs to the higher authorities.Higher the number of participants, greater will be the effect. North Devon is a wonderful place to live and a promising place for business, despite its rural location. Non-availability of broadband should not stand in the way of its progress and development. Barry Parsons of Torridge District Council also shared the views of Greenslade. If more residents express their needs, there will be pressure for the higher authorities. Faster connectivity will allow local business concerns to compete in the countrywide market, irrespective of its location. Whether urban or rural, all will have to get the access to super fast broadband. Even children are in need of it badly for their online education. The survey closes on 29th of the month. The subjects are urged to submit the form.
