Residential homes and business enterprises in the Google region are being encouraged to log in to a new site to express their opinion regarding availing enhanced broadband facilities in the East Riding region.

That it wants the most excellent broadband connectivity network system in the whole of Europe in another three years to come has been declared by the UK government.

The government is suggesting that the council of East Riding should bid for government grant to avail of improved broadband facilities.

If they succeed, it would imply that the residences and the business firms in the county would be able to obtain high speed broadband in several areas where the current facilities are extremely slow and unsteady.

However to avail of the grant they would have to produce proof regarding how the broadband facilities are functioning presently when it concerns businesses and individuals in the locality.

Councillor Jonathan Owen, the Deputy Leader of the council and Portfolio Holder for performance, improvement and partnerships stated that the delivery of steady broadband facilities throughout the entire East Riding is imperative if they have to make certain that the region is not lagging when the internet facilities are in the process of being enhanced.

He added that the East Riding Local Broadband Plan will point out areas that require funding for not only the basic broadband facilities, meaning areas where there is currently no Broadband connectivity, and also for the delivery of high speed broadband as the requirement of the services become more.

He said that he implored the people living in and the business firms of East Riding, to log on to the website at http://broadband.eastriding.gov.uk and sign up to express their enthusiasm by filling up the survey form that will assist in building up the venture and obtain the necessary funding. He also added that their success would be based on their skills to show the government that their family members, communities and trade all over East Riding actually require quicker and more dependable broadband connectivity.
