One of the providers of broadband services in the North West seemed to have asserted that they were able to avail of download speeds of 100Mb on their metropolitan Wi-Fi Service.

ISPreview.co.uk has reported that Vispa which is a firm that has its headquarters in Cheshire has been able to provide super-fast broadband facilities to consumers in the southern regions of Manchester.

The company claimed that its City Wireless facility, one that is still in operation on trial has recently over shot the broadband speeds that they had earlier advertised.

The company Vispa, was vending 80Mb broadband with upload speeds of 20Mb for a monthly fee of 11.99 pounds. The firm has now stated that some of their users who were offered this download speed are in a position to avail of 100Mb speeds currently.

In other similar news tidbits, the telecommunications stalwarts BT have declared that week that they had three million public broadband hotspots throughout the UK presently.

The great thing about this is that people who were utilizing devices like the laptops and tablets could comfortably access the Internet even when they were not at home. They were able to access broadband facilities when they were traveling too.
