BT has added more number of properties throughout London in their fibre broadband scheme.

The telecommunications giant has stated that they plan to expand their fibre optic facilities to an additional 350,000 households and business firms in the capital sometime this current year,

This news was informed while simultaneously stating that their high speed packages could be availed of by about 2.2 million premises in London when their newest series of upgrades are finished within the matter of a few weeks.

40Mbpsdownload speeds would be provided to those people who had registered for the fibre broadband services offered by BT and this would allow them to download a music file within just a couple of seconds, while a whole music album could be downloaded in half a minute.

BT is also getting ready to provide double the speeds of the present service some time later in the year.

Andrew Campling, General Manager of BT in London, stated that the coming of the high speed broadband in those regions was a terrific encouragement as well as improvement for business enterprises and residential homes.

He added that in these financially difficult times the advent of high speed broadband could change their experiences of Internet connectivity.

This information from BT came following BT’s announcement in November regarding the fact that connectivity would be provided to 100,000 London premises via their fibre broadband facilities and Wembley, Finchly and Dagenham being included to avail and enjoy these benefits.
