Half-yearly results from Eclipse internet
The Kingston Communications, the British based telecoms company that owns Eclipse Internet released its interim financial results for the six months ended on 30th September 2007. The broadband customers of the KCom Group are now 195,255, indicating 38 percent growth in its customer base during the last six months. The addition of more than fifty thousand new customers also resulted in significant growth in revenues of the company. The first-half year revenues of KCom Group has posted 8 percent growth to show total earnings of $541 million, according to report from Reuters. The report from the ISP shows that there are 81,400 customers on its network, while there are 113,900 customers are outside the network of the ISP and nearly half of these off-net customers get Eclipse broadband services via wholesale llu network such as lines provided by BT. However, there was a sharp fall in the revenues from its wholesale voice division, dial-up service and other services that KCom offers in the UK. It seems that the revenue growth achieved in the broadband division helped KCom group to counter-balance its overall financial position.
