Tiscali ISP launch Annex M Business Broadband package

Tuesday, July 15th 2008

Tiscali ISP launched a new broadband package for business users in the UK. The new, super-fast business broadband package, named Annex M, will offer 16 Mbps download speeds and 2.5 Mbps upload speeds, according to the report.

The new business broadband service will be based on ADSL 2+ (ADSL is also included) meaning the users will get higher download speeds than upload speeds. It should be noted that traditional business broadband services either use SDSL or leased lines where both download speeds and upload speeds are more or less the same.

In addition, Annex M wholesale business broadband services will reach the Tiscali customers who are connected by their LLU network which has already spread over 900 exchanges in the UK. Further, Tiscali has planned to increase it to 1000 by the year end.

Lance Spencer of Tiscali Business Services has commented:

“This service is ideal for businesses looking to switch from BT or upgrade their telecoms capabilities whilst saving significantly on costs. It is a perfect replacement for BT’s SDSL services at a fraction of the cost with far more bells and whistles. Unlike BT’s SDSL service, which is based on BT’s legacy networks, our new offering will easily scale for further enhancement as it is delivered across Tiscali’s future-proof 21st Century network.”
